Do you know someone looking for a job? Wegmans is hosting a virtual recruiting event on Thursday, January 20 from 1-5 p.m. for its new Carlyle store near the Eisenhower Avenue subway station in Alexandria.
The popular grocery store, which will open in late spring, offers employees a benefits package covering “health, well-being, family and future”. The store hires part-time and full-time customer service team members. Onboarding and training will begin immediately. Prior to store opening, training will take place at existing Wegmans stores in Northern Virginia
The family business, recognized as an industry leader and innovator, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2016. Wegmans has been named one of FORTUNE magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” for 24 consecutive years, ranking #4 in 2021. The company also ranked #1 on PEOPLE’s 2021 “Companies That Care” list.
According to Market Force Information’s annual grocery industry study, Wegmans ranked first, followed by Publix, Trader Joe’s, Hy-Vee and ALDI. The study surveyed 10,000 consumers to gauge their satisfaction with their most recent grocery experience and their likelihood to refer this grocer to others.
