Apple’s iOS App Store is unquestionably a fantastic marketplace for mobile apps. Both in terms of the quantity and range of titles available, as well as the overall experience of paying and loading your new app purchase with minimal fuss or security issues. However, there is one part of the overall App Store experience that can get a bit boring and involves an iOS feature that many iPhone users are likely to leave on the default setting.
It certainly annoyed me time and time again, until I disabled this feature. I’m referring to Apple’s general thirst for getting you to rate and review the app you just downloaded.
Now, okay, in the scheme of things, it’s not really a big deal to download an app, open it and start using it, and then be prompted to leave a review. It only takes a second or two to get rid of this prompt. In the meantime, what if you don’t want to see this prompt at all? We have what you need.
What should I disable on iOS 15?
If you haven’t already, go to the Settings icon on your iOS device, then tap App Store. You should see a setting labeled “In-App Ratings & Reviews”. If the toggle is set to green, it means, as noted below, that you’re helping “developers and other users know what you think by allowing apps to request product feedback.”
Disable this toggle and you’re done. No more annoying prompts that tell you to rate and review the iOS app you like.
