How to Fix One of iOS’s Most Annoying Features

Apple’s iOS App Store is unquestionably a fantastic marketplace for mobile apps. Both in terms of the quantity and range of titles available, as well as the overall experience of paying and loading your new app purchase with minimal fuss or security issues. However, there is one part of the overall App Store experience that can get a bit boring and involves an iOS feature that many iPhone users are likely to leave on the default setting.

It certainly annoyed me time and time again, until I disabled this feature. I’m referring to Apple’s general thirst for getting you to rate and review the app you just downloaded.

Now, okay, in the scheme of things, it’s not really a big deal to download an app, open it and start using it, and then be prompted to leave a review. It only takes a second or two to get rid of this prompt. In the meantime, what if you don’t want to see this prompt at all? We have what you need.

What should I disable on iOS 15?

If you haven’t already, go to the Settings icon on your iOS device, then tap App Store. You should see a setting labeled “In-App Ratings & Reviews”. If the toggle is set to green, it means, as noted below, that you’re helping “developers and other users know what you think by allowing apps to request product feedback.”

Disable this toggle and you’re done. No more annoying prompts that tell you to rate and review the iOS app you like.

Along the same lines, we regularly highlight fun and memorable apps for you to check out on the Apple App Store. And if you happen to fit the Venn diagram perfectly, cross paths with loving mobile gameplay and NBC’s beloved sitcom Office? This relatively new addition to the App Store is for you.

The game is The Office: We Manage One Way or Anotherwho true-blue Office fans will recall that it was meant to have been the overly serious memoir title of Dunder Mifflin Regional Manager Michael Scott.

The game is available for download on the App Store here. You can check out a trailer for the game above. Below is an excerpt from the App Store summary.

Will Dunder Mifflin be reduced? Not with you in charge! The Office: Somehow We Manage turns the beloved TV series into an idle game about selling paper, pranks and keeping the business afloat. Quality First !

What we like: Relive classic moments from the show. The short-lived alliance of Dwight and Jim, Pam winning a Dundie award – the story covers many areas familiar to fans. It even recreates The Office mockumentary style with talking head interviews and reaction shots when someone (usually Michael) says something absurd.
