Fipola delivers more than 10,000 orders per day by the end of this quarter
Aims to cross revenue of Rs. 460 crore by next financial year
Bombay (Maharashtra) [India]March 11: Fipola, the first omnichannel meat supermarket in India, announced that it has registered more than 10,000 orders per day for the past three months. The D2C (Direct-to-Customer) startup has registered over 3 lakh of orders in the past month, with most of its sales coming from products like seafood, chicken, mutton and value-added products. Fipola is ready to launch its business expansions and launch more than 40 outlets by March 2022, with the intention of doubling its daily orders.
Chicken is by far customers’ favorite product, accounting for more than 38% of its sales. It is closely followed by seafood (32%) and mutton (21%). Going forward, the company also aims to expand its presence in the hospitality sector by increasing its other “Fipola Grill House” and “Fipola on Wheels” offerings.
Speaking of business expansion, Mr. Sushil Kanugolu, Founder and CEO, Fipola, said: “Fipola has always sought to meet customer needs by leveraging our unique user experience as well as high quality meat products. We are launching Pune in May and we plan to increase our revenue to over INR 460 crore by the end of the financial year and with this massive expansion we aim to deliver over 250 products to seven key cities like Chennai, Hyderabad , Coimbatore, Vellore, Tirupur, Pondicherry and Bangalore. Currently we are taking over 300,000 orders from our base of over 10 lakh customers.
Further away, Mr Kanugolu added, “We hit an annual execution rate of INR 200 crore. With the gradual increase in demand in the meat and seafood industry, our goal is to achieve a 4x growth rate year over year. Fipola continues to raise more funds as it plans to expand to 275 stores across India over the next 16 months, entering new markets like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkatta and Punjab.
