Aldi Ireland opened its new state-of-the-art headquarters in Naas, County Kildare last week and confirmed it will take on 600 new store staff this year. The supermarket company has seen its workforce grow to more than 4,650 employees in recent years, supporting 149 Irish stores.
Aldi has embarked on an investment program of 320 million euros over three years (2022-2024) which will allow it to open 30 additional new stores across the country. Job opportunities are available at the Store Assistant, Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager levels across the country.
Officially opening Aldi’s new headquarters on Friday, Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Leo Varadkar, said: “This is another fantastic news from Aldi, 600 new jobs created, in addition to the 1,050 added last year. a true testament to Aldi’s commitment to Ireland and the hard work of its existing team here. I’m really happy to see that Aldi will increase their hourly rate even further and offer a living wage. A big priority for me is making sure sick pay is available to all employees and it’s great to see that Aldi has a program in place. This expansion is also great news for Irish suppliers, who are partnering with Aldi and demonstrating the strength of the food retail sector as a whole. Good luck to the whole Aldi team.”
